  • 12/29/2014 - Coming Soon... Transportation Alerts for Inclement Weather TransNet is currently developing a new system of electronic transportation alerts as part of its Business Continuity and Communication Plan. The alerts will be deployed during days of inclement weather, via email notification to Business Partners and Program Directors, the TransNet website at www.suburbantransit.org, and announcements on TransNet's phone system. The transportation alerts will summarize transportation delays, cancellations and special schedules for the six service areas throughout Montgomery County during any specific day or weather event.  Stay tuned for additional information and the implementation of the alert system in January 2015. 
  • 12/29/2014 - A Special Thank You To Driver, George Johnson TransNet extends a special thank you to Bux‐Mont driver, George Johnson for his quick thinking and CPR proficiency in taking life‐saving measures while transporting a TransNet consumer. On November 21st, while transporting passengers to a program, George was able to identify and assess a life‐threatening situation, perform CPR appropriately, and revive the consumer prior to the arrival of the EMT's who transported the consumer to the hospital.  According to the responding Police Officer, "If it wasn't for George performing CPR, the outcome would have been very different.   • 12/1/2014 - TransNet Welcomes Easton Coach As The New Owner of Norristown Transportation And Mid County Transportation As of November 1, 2014, Easton Coach Company has assumed ownership of Norristown Transportation Company and Mid County Transportation Company, from previous owner, Bonnie Geist. Easton Coach Company maintains its corporate headquarters, as well as motorcoach operations, central maintenance facility and professional support services in Easton, PA. However, the operations will remain local for Norristown Transportation and Mid County Transportation, and the change of ownership will be seamless to the provision of service.
